Flag-UniMatch — Community Guidelines
Flag-UniMatch is a place to make friends at your own university. Everyone here is a verified student aged 18 or older. Please help keep it friendly and safe.
Be kind
- Treat people the way you would in a real conversation on campus.
- No harassment, bullying, threats or insults.
- No hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any similar characteristic.
- If someone does not reply, unfriends you or blocks you, accept it. Do not try to reach them another way.
Be yourself
- Do not pretend to be someone else — another student, a lecturer, a celebrity or the university.
- One account per person.
- Only use photos of yourself or photos you have the right to share. Do not upload someone else's face as your profile picture.
Respect privacy
- Do not share anyone's private information (phone number, address, class timetable, social accounts, photos) without their permission.
- Do not screenshot or record chats, group chats or other people's flags to embarrass or threaten someone.
Keep it appropriate
- No nudity or sexual content, and no sexual messages to people who did not ask for them.
- Nothing involving anyone under 18.
- No violent, gory or shocking content.
- No promotion of self-harm, drugs or illegal activity.
No spam or scams
- No advertising, selling, multi-level marketing or recruiting.
- No asking for money, bank details, passwords or sign-in codes.
- No links to scams or harmful websites.
Labels and flags
- Labels are for friendly impressions. Do not give labels to mock or target someone.
- Post real plans only. No fake flags, advertising or flags used to collect people for something else.
- If you accept someone, show up — or tell the group if you cannot.
- Meet in public places, especially the first time.
When something goes wrong
- Block anyone you do not want to hear from. They are not told.
- Report users, messages or flags that break these guidelines. Reports are confidential.
- If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police (999) or campus security first.
What we do
When we receive a report, we review it and may:
- remove the content,
- send a warning,
- suspend the account for a period,
- permanently ban the account (the same email cannot sign up again).
Serious cases (for example, threats, sexual content involving minors, or scams) may lead to an immediate ban and a report to the authorities.
